Nakimia Agnew, LCSW

Nakimia Agnew is a licensed certified social worker.  Nakimia earned a Masters of Social Work in 2007 from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelors of Social Work in 2003 from Delta State University.  Nakimia is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, S.A.F.E.  (structured analysis family evaluations) home study, Certified Mindfulness Informed Clinician – Level I, Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, and is a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapist. 

Nakimia has further training in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) or tapping, Motivational Interviewing, play therapy, ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and crisis behavioral management.  Nakimia is an approved LCSW supervisor with the Mississippi State Board of Examiners for Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapist. 

Nakimia has worked with trauma and family issues for over 15 years.   Nakimia’s specialties includes trauma counseling, grief counseling, and mindfulness.  Nakimia is a Mississippi native and enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and learning useless trivia information.
