Melissa Beach, LCSW

Melissa Beach is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic. Melissa earned her Master of Social Work degree from Union University in May 2013, following her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Mississippi in August 2010. She predominantly practices Cognitive Behavior Therapy and has experience working with children and families of all ages, beginning at 6 years old.

With a wide-ranging background in various healthcare settings including the VA, homeless outreach, rehabilitation centers, and hospital case management, Melissa brings over a decade of experience to her practice. Personally believing in therapy due to its profound impact on her life, Melissa takes a client-centered approach, meeting individuals where they are and guiding them through their journey. Her specialties include trauma counseling, grief counseling, and mindfulness. Melissa’s employment history encompasses a diverse array of roles, each contributing to her wealth of experience and expertise. She has demonstrated versatility and proficiency in addressing a wide range of mental health needs. As an approved LCSW supervisor with the Mississippi State Board of Examiners for Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists, Melissa has also assumed leadership responsibilities, guiding and supervising emerging professionals in the field.

Through these diverse roles, Melissa has honed her skills in assessment, case management, evidence-based therapy, and crisis intervention, making her a highly capable and well-rounded practitioner in the field of social work.
