Ginnifer Hutcheson, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Arise Hernando Clinic Director, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Ginnifer is a doctoral-prepared, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 16 years of experience in the mental health field.  She has a background in both acute in-patient hospital settings, and private practice. Ginnifer is known for creating meaningful connections with her patients. She believes that everyone deserves to be heard and understood, and provided thorough education about their diagnosis, medication, and treatment plan.

Her educational career began at Mississippi State University, where she received a psychology degree with a concentration in gerontology. She obtained her bachelor of science in nursing, from the University of Memphis. She continued her education, and earned the degree of doctor of nursing practice, from Union University. She has conducted research into PCP’s ability to recognize potential suicide risks in the geriatric population.

Ginnifer is a resident of Hernando, and she is excited to bring mental healthcare to her community. She has been married for 18 years to her husband, Wes. They have a cheer-leading, video-creating, and theatre-acting teenage daughter. Outside of the clinic, Ginnifer enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling to new places, and interior design.
